Hey Bro,
To tell you the truth I felt pretty shitty when I was dieting and pushing out 1 - 2 hrs cardio a day on top of weights. I found that I became very irratable and was always looking to start an arguement with my girl or room mates. I also did find that I became somewhat withdrawn from others and did not want to socialise etc.
My room mates and friend were always giving me shit about the foods I was eating, the alcohol I wasnt drinking or the fact that I was spending 2 - 3 hrs training a day. It wasnt until they saw my before and after shots that they were like "Holy Shit how did you do that in 16 weeks?". They now respect what I have done and have even asked for my help to get them into shape, they still think what I eat is f*!ked though, lol.
Hang in there bro it is tough,but just think about the end result and happy you will be when you reach your goal. If you want explain to friends, family, etc that for the next few months you will be working hard to reach a personal goal and may be a little withdrawn or reluctant to party, socialise, etc. Hopefully they will understand and if not they definatley will when you show them before and after pics.
Double Wide gave me some good advice, this really helped me out when things were getting a little out of hand between me and my girl. After reading DW's advice I realised what I was doing, dieting was making me feel like shit, I would be in a constant bad mood and want to take it out on others, this was not fair as I was the one putting myself through this dieting phase and not them. Following DW's advice I would leave my shitty mood at the gym and walk in the door with a completley diffrent mind set, thnigs became alot better after that.

"suck it up man and act like an adult. we;ve all dieted and not had carbs for 14 weeks and did 2 sessions of cardio per day and weights and wrorked. yes you will get grumpy and tired and ornerey. but seperate yourself from people. be by yourself and just tell the people to give you some space etc... dont take shit out on your girl or other people because you choose to put yourself threw crap. suck up to your girl and say sorry"
